A Brief Description of the Figure from Quantum Organizations

Rather than simply picturing neural connections in the organic brain, Figure 2.9 illustrates a mental schema itself — as a set of categories and their interrelationships. Recall: If a person doesn't have a category for knowing something, for all intents and purposes, it doesn't exist. It should also be mentioned that each category in a schema/paradigm does not represent a one-to-one correspondence with a neural connection or an organic part in the brain. It is nevertheless convenient to illustrate a paradigm as a set of categories (nodes) and the potential relationships between them (lines), which include causes, effects, sequences, associations, and expectations of one category versus another, as the evolving mind.
